Sugargoo vs PandaBuy: How the Agent That Launched in 2020 Compares With the One That Closed

Checked · the PandaBuy Alternatives desk

Short answer

Sugargoo and PandaBuy were rivals: Sugargoo's domain dates from April 2020 and it launched that August, while PandaBuy grew from 2019 to its closure in April 2024. Sugargoo is still open. Compared with PandaBuy it stores items longer (100 days against 90), sends 7 free photos per parcel (5 of the items, 2 of the packed box) rather than 4 per item, and publishes real parcel prices: $27.94 for 3 kg of clothing to the UK, $42.75 to France, $55.18 to California. Its service fee is disputed (0% or about 5%) and Trustpilot shows 3.5/5 from 643 reviews.

16 finds for a Sugargoo haul

Clothing-heavy Weidian listings, the kind that make a 3 kg parcel worthwhile. Each tile opens repbuysheet.com with the seller's photo set. 16 finds here, and 10,000+ products in the catalog the tiles open, filterable by brand and size.

Sponsored links. Photo, name and button all open one listing on repbuysheet.com, where the seller's full photo set, the size options and the source shop link live. Dollar and yuan prices are copied from that catalog on the check date and move with the exchange rate.

Sugargoo vs PandaBuy, side by side

Searches for 'Sugargoo vs PandaBuy' date back to when both were open. With PandaBuy gone, the useful version of the comparison is: what changes if your PandaBuy habits move to Sugargoo?

Sugargoo: its own blog posts, W2C Spreadsheet, KakoGuide (Jun 2026). PandaBuy: Wikipedia, Extrabux, CNBuyPilot.

The photo policy is the biggest practical change. PandaBuy photographed each item; W2C Spreadsheet describes Sugargoo's free set as seven photos per parcel, five of items and two of the packed box. On a three-item order that's enough; on a twelve-item haul it isn't, and extra photos are worth buying for anything where fit or finish matters.

Verdict: Longer storage and published prices favour Sugargoo; fewer free photos per item favour what PandaBuy used to do.

What Sugargoo charges on top

Sugargoo's blog lists its extras, which makes a landed cost easier to predict than it was on PandaBuy:

Sugargoo's published extras
ChargeAmount
Packing per parcel¥8 per parcel
Rehearsal (trial pack and weigh)¥18
Shipping insurance1–4% of the insured value (¥500–¥5,000 cover)
Card payment4.8% + $0.50
Storage extension¥8 per order per month, bought for up to six months at a time

From Sugargoo's own blog posts, updated between October 2025 and June 2026.

The card fee is the line to watch: 4.8% + $0.50 is higher than the 3.8% PandaBuy charged, and on a $200 order it's about $10. Sugargoo's blog lists cheaper routes such as Alipay+ at about 2.8–3%. The ¥18 rehearsal is worth it on a big haul: it tells you the real and volumetric weight before you commit to a line.

Verdict: Pay by the cheapest method Sugargoo offers and use the rehearsal on large parcels. Those two choices matter more than the disputed service fee.

Sugargoo's published parcel prices

Sugargoo publishes something PandaBuy never did: worked parcel prices. For a 3 kg clothing parcel on its cheapest listed lines, the blog gives $27.94 to the UK, $42.75 to France and $55.18 to California. Spread across a haul, that's:

3 kg of clothing, per item
DestinationParcelPer item, 5 itemsPer item, 10 items
UK$27.94$5.59$2.79
France$42.75$8.55$4.28
US (California)$55.18$11.04$5.52

Parcel prices from Sugargoo's China-to-UK, France and USA shipping guides (updated Jan 2026); per-item splits computed on this page.

The US price is about double the UK one. Sugargoo's guide doesn't break the difference down, so treat it as the line price and expect duty on top, since the US no longer has an $800 allowance. Our shipping calculator uses these same quotes as its reference rates, and the US guide explains the duty side.

Verdict: A 3 kg haul is cheap per item to the UK and France and noticeably dearer to the US. Plan the item count around it.

Moving a PandaBuy sheet to Sugargoo

Sugargoo accepts pasted Weidian, Taobao and 1688 links, and for anything it doesn't recognise its blog describes a DIY order where you enter the details yourself. To move an old PandaBuy sheet:

  1. Convert the PandaBuy links with the link converter.
  2. Paste each clean link into Sugargoo; use a DIY order for the rare one it won't parse.
  3. Collect items over a few weeks if you like: 100 free days give you more slack than PandaBuy's 90.
  4. Use the rehearsal on the full haul, then pick a line.

On reviews, Sugargoo's 3.5/5 from 643 reviews (59% five-star, 19% one-star) is weaker than some newer agents' scores, but it comes with six years of trading, which after PandaBuy and CNFans counts for something. New reviews were still arriving at our last check.

Verdict: A reasonable, long-running home for a PandaBuy sheet, especially for UK and EU buyers.

Sugargoo and PandaBuy: questions

Is Sugargoo better than PandaBuy was?

In some ways. Sugargoo keeps items free for 100 days against PandaBuy's 90, and it publishes worked parcel prices, which PandaBuy never did. PandaBuy photographed every item, though, while Sugargoo's free set covers the whole parcel. The difference that settles it is simpler: Sugargoo is still trading and PandaBuy closed in April 2024. For an old sheet, Sugargoo is a sensible home.

Does Sugargoo charge a service fee?

That's disputed. Some sources list Sugargoo at 0%, others at about 5%, and we couldn't settle it. The card fee is clearer and matters more: 4.8% + $0.50, above the 3.8% PandaBuy charged, while Alipay+ costs about 2.8–3% according to Sugargoo's blog. Check the line-by-line breakdown in your cart before paying, and choose the cheapest payment route offered.

How many QC photos does Sugargoo send?

Seven per parcel, free, according to W2C Spreadsheet: five showing the items and two of the packed box. PandaBuy used to send 4 per item instead. Seven covers a three-item order comfortably, but on a twelve-item haul some pieces will barely appear. Buy extra photos for anything where fit, stitching or finish really matters to you.

How much does Sugargoo shipping cost?

Sugargoo's blog prices a 3 kg clothing parcel on its cheapest listed lines at $27.94 to the UK, $42.75 to France and $55.18 to California. US buyers should also expect duty, since the $800 allowance is gone. Packing (¥8 per parcel) and optional insurance sit on top. Spread over ten items, UK and France shipping works out cheap per piece.

Can I use PandaBuy links on Sugargoo?

Not directly, since they point at a closed site. Convert each one to the original Weidian, Taobao or 1688 listing with the link converter, then paste it into Sugargoo. For the occasional link Sugargoo can't parse, its blog describes a DIY order where you type in the item details yourself. Convert the whole sheet once and keep the clean links.

When did Sugargoo start?

Sugargoo's domain was registered on April 22, 2020 and the agent launched that August, roughly a year after PandaBuy appeared in 2019. That gives it six years of trading, through the closures of both PandaBuy and CNFans. Its Trustpilot score of 3.5/5 from 643 reviews is modest. If longevity is what you value most, Sugargoo's history counts in its favour.

Put together by the PandaBuy Alternatives desk; every claim was checked against the list below on . The PandaBuy history leans on court records, police-side reporting and Wikipedia; agent fees, storage and review counts come from each agent's own pages or the named trackers. Where sources disagree we print both. A finds tile was only published if its main photo and its link showed the same item.
